    Our home care service is tailored around each individual customer. At Care Contact, we are there to support you to continue living safely in your own home, surrounded by your belongings and memories.

    Our flexible domiciliary care services can cover anything from a check-in visit to personal care to 24-hour or live-in care.

    Our home care service can be used for short term help following an illness or because your usual carer is having a break, or as the start of your care journey where it may develop to long-term home care and support. Our dedicated team of home care assistants are fully trained to:

    • Getting Ready for The Day: we start the day with warmth greetings, building a sustainable therapeutic relationship and finding out how their night or night had been, assist them out of bed or chair, provide gadgets like glasses, wheels amongst others if any, assist them to the toilet or bathroom
    • Personal Care: Support with undressing, showering, washing, bathing, continence care, shaving, oral care, apply recommended creams, make-up, dressing and others as the care plan support.
    • Comfort arrangement: Assist the Service User to assume a comfortable position, sort out plans for the day and others as decided by the service user.
    • Meal-Times: Prepare, serve meals of choice and assist with feeding as the need maybe, serve drinks of choice, wash dishes/pots,
    • Medication Support: Prompt or Administer prescribed medication and observe clients take them and filing the MAR charts appropriately. Monitoring and reporting medication updates
    • Social outings: support you with social activities such as going out for a walk, attending day centre, visiting friends or family or going to your church or club, collect your pension for you or with you, shop with you or help you to make a shopping list, go to the shops, plus come back and put it all away
    • Practical Supports: practical support including dusting and vacuuming; cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, changing bed linen and towels, laundry and ironing, shopping for weekly groceries, Reminding or booking appointments, Ordering medications from GP, collecting prescribed medication from pharmacy, helping with papers, toning the TV or radio, support, and assistance managing bill payments as well assistance managing appointments.
    • At the end of each day, some help with getting ready for a comfortable rest in your own bed with bedtime pleasantries as you wish
